Our Why
The 831 Project is a Texas based non-profit organization dedicated to foster youth transitioning from state care to independent adult living. Our goal is to aid in the transition process by providing safe housing, education and resources to better prepare these at-risk youth for their new independent living.
Our goal is ambition but the need is great with approximately 63 young adults transitioning into independent living without any sort of guidance and/or assistance today!
Imagine being an 18 year old adult with no parents, basic education and being dismissed from a state system with a pat on the back.
This is the reality 831 Project is trying to help!
